To me this movie was a comedy because he acted so damn retarded through out the whole movie, not to mention he never got the pussy from that little slut Jenny.

In fact, Forrest was mildly retarded. As for jenny, she had a troubled life because she was sexually abused by her father. I'm sure chad dogg will come up with another reason to call her a crack whore, though.
Submitted by: anonymous I think, you can mention focusing on the concentration as an aspect of this movie. You know, Forrest is dull but when he commence, he concentrates on it with all his senses. The other aspect may be that wisdom is proportional. We don't know the criteria of rightness. There is a saying that declares the logical people are always later than the moments of time. Maybe Forrest gets the huge triumphs because he doesn't mention to different effects ore side effects of an act.
Submitted by: anonymous Forest is America, throughout the film as forest goes through the experiences of this century it uses Forest's character to portray american history and what events shaped the country to the modern era. It symbolises america's growth. From being a southern young farmer with crippled legs to breaking free of the braces on its legs like breaking off from the colonies and moving from a simple agricultural country to be allowed to run freely in the global market. Then it shows aspects of culture rock n roll with the elvis scene. American football with forest in college the events that changed the country the vietnam war and the cold war shown through ping pong. Also the birth of franchising and the power of business with the shrimping company he started with one boat and now he has many all named jenny all the same. every scene is well crafted to show america's growth through culture advancement of technology and ideology for example the part of the film where he just kept running that was symbolism of america moving forward through the 80's and just kept going without stopping to look back. the film is powerful in all aspects and its all shown through the eyes of the most simplest of men and explained to us in the simplest of terms like we are all children learning history, culture and experiences of life. Thats why it was a great film. Its all revealed at the very first scene where he says life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what your gunna get. Each chocolate is an individual in a box but together as a collective they create a product that is highly consumed, delicious and enjoyable. America is the box of chocolates, Forest is only one chocolate within the box.
