Mr.White betrays Joe, a friend he's known for years, for Mr.Orange who happens to be an undercover cop. Also, I only reason Mr. Pink lives is because he tried to avoid confrontation, so I'm going to say this movie also tells us that if you are smart and avoid violence you'll live.
