Submitted by: kryptonelf I think this movie is about how a small idea can become an inspiring change. All the people that agreed with V became that idea and even though they we killed they were alive in the end because ideas are bulletproof.
Submitted by: oxyvbverkle This movie is based off of the Gunpowder plot of 1609 in England. Guy Fawkes is the person V is modeled after as can be seen by the mustache and hair. He was also in the military and specialized in explosives. Fawkes intended to blow up parliament on the 5th of November in 1605. Thus the date in the movie being the 5th of November. The plot was to end repression of Catholics in England by Parliament. The filmmakers just modernized the movie by changing control of Catholicism to a Fascist government.
